AI & Third-Party Services Notice

Important information about AI accuracy, availability, data processing, and third-party dependencies.

1. AI is not guaranteed to be correct

Some platform apps use generative AI. AI may misunderstand speech or images, omit facts, generate incorrect information, produce unexpected content, or fail to respond. Always review important outputs.

2. AI services may be temporarily unavailable

Third-party AI providers may impose quotas, rate limits, maintenance windows, model changes, regional restrictions, or temporary capacity limits. An app may therefore display a “busy,” “try again,” quota, or similar error even when the Africa Mobile Innovate platform itself is functioning normally.

3. No high-consequence reliance

Do not rely on an AI result as the sole source for medical, legal, tax, accounting, financial, emergency, safety, pesticide, crop-treatment, or other high-consequence decisions. Obtain qualified professional or official guidance where appropriate.

4. Google Gemini

Some current apps use Google Gemini. Google’s current Gemini API terms impose age and use restrictions, including an 18+ requirement for API Clients. Accordingly, these Gemini-powered apps are intended for users age 18 or older.

Current AI data-processing status: Unpaid / testing service. Do not submit personal, confidential, highly sensitive, or legally protected information to AI features. Google’s current Gemini API terms state that content submitted to Unpaid Services and generated responses may be used to improve Google products, and human reviewers may process input and output for quality purposes.

5. What you should not submit

Do not upload information that is unnecessary for the task. In particular, when the site is operating with unpaid/testing AI quota, do not submit personal, confidential, highly sensitive, legally protected, or secret information. Examples may include passwords, banking credentials, government identification numbers, confidential client records, or private medical information.

6. Third-party changes

AI models, pricing, limits, data policies, and terms can change. We may change providers, models, or settings when necessary for reliability, privacy, cost, or legal compliance.
