Africa AI Market Terms

These terms supplement the general Terms of Use for free apps, paid app rentals, subscriptions, and future creator-published apps.

1. Free and paid apps

Africa AI Market may offer free applications, paid rentals, subscriptions, organization access, trials, promotions, or other access models. The applicable price and access period should be shown before you authorize payment.

2. Access license — not ownership

Payment for an app gives you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to access and use that app for the stated access period. Payment does not transfer the source code, software, copyrights, trademarks, datasets, AI models, or other intellectual property.

3. Rental periods

Rental access begins after payment is confirmed or access is otherwise granted. Access ends when the stated period expires unless renewed or extended. Unless recurring billing is clearly identified and accepted at checkout, a rental does not automatically renew.

4. My Apps

Apps currently available to your account may appear in My Apps. Access may reflect free membership, an active rental, an organization grant, a promotion, or temporary workshop access.

5. Prices and currencies

Prices may be displayed in Kenyan shillings, U.S. dollars, or another supported currency. Payment-provider exchange rates, fees, taxes, or network charges may apply and can differ from the price displayed by the platform.

6. Payments

Payments may be processed by third parties such as Stripe or an M-PESA-compatible payment provider. A payment is not considered complete until the applicable payment provider or platform records successful confirmation.

7. Failed or delayed payment

If a payment fails, is reversed, remains pending, or cannot be verified, app access may be delayed, suspended, or revoked until the transaction is resolved.

8. Service interruptions

Paid apps may depend on AI, hosting, payment, email, or communications providers. Temporary failures or rate limits may occur. If a paid app is materially unavailable for a substantial portion of your rental period, contact us so we can evaluate an extension, replacement access, refund, or another appropriate remedy.

9. Refunds

Refunds are evaluated based on the product, payment status, access already provided, the reason for the request, and applicable law. Nothing in these Market Terms removes refund or consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.

10. Workshop access

A workshop may temporarily unlock an app without creating a paid rental. Temporary workshop access can end when the workshop mode or session ends and does not create ownership or permanent access rights.

11. Creator marketplace

Future versions of Africa AI Market may allow approved creators to publish apps and earn revenue. Creator eligibility, review, commission, payouts, tax obligations, licensing, intellectual-property warranties, and content standards will be governed by separate Creator Terms before creator payments are enabled.

12. App-specific terms

Individual apps may display additional notices or limitations. Those app-specific notices supplement these Market Terms.
